02/15/2011 - Due to the lack of funding and/or sponsorships, we have been unable to host any activities since Basketball Camp in August of 2010. We are hoping for more support this year as we hope to be more beneficial to the community, as well as the youth that are able to participate in our activities.
Anyone who is interested in being a sponsor this year, please contact us via email at ydbfoundation@yahoo.com or call Nancy Cantrell, Foundation Representative at 805-607-3902. We are accepting basketballs, t-shirts/ jerseys, food/drinks, volunteers, as well as monetary donations. Any services that you are willing to donate is also welcomed. (i.e. photography) We are a non-profit organization and all donations are tax-deductible.
Please do NOT send any mail to the P.O. Box address that we had last year. We have been experiencing too many problems with our mail. We will post the new address as soon as possible. In the meantime, we are using a temporary mailing address until a new one is obtained. Please email us or call if you have any questions or concerns.
09/12/2010 - Apparently, we found out that we are unable to post pictures from our Basketball Camps on to this website. If you would like to see photos from our camps, please email us at ydbfoundation@yahoo.com and we will send you a link so that you can view them. Thank you and we apologize for the inconvenience.

News from Last Year's Camp
7/1/2009 - Information regarding our P.O. Box
On 7/1/2009, we found out that the post office has been returning mail that was sent to our P.O. Box address. This is an error on behalf of the post office, which has been corrected as of today. Our P.O. Box (#7209) is a valid address so if you have mailed us any correspondence or donation and it has been sent back to you, please contact Nancy Cantrell at (805) 607-3902 or email us at ydbfoundation@yahoo.com . 7/17/2009 - 8th Annual West Coast Fundamental Basketball Camp
We were able to sponsor approximately 25 to 30 underprivileged and at-risk youth to attend the 8th Annual West Coast Fundamental Basketball Camp that began July 6th and ended yesterday, July 16th. The children had a great time!! We will be posting pictures soon.
Special THANKS to Mr. & Mrs. Hugh Cassar and Scott McKenney for their generous and thoughtful donations. We also want to thank Jamba Juice (both locations in Oxnard) and PandaExpress (Channel Islands and Rose Ave.) for assisting us with our fundraisers.
VOLUNTEERS
Thanks to Carlos Mora of the Boys and Girls Club in Oxnard, who voluntarily assisted with obtaining children to sponsor for the camp. Our goal is to have enough funds to sponsor even more children next year. Also thanks to Michaella Seveney, who volunteered her time to take photographs at the basketball camp for our organization. Last, but not least, we thank all the volunteers who put in their time to help make this event possible.
The camp was a great success and we look forward to next year!!
